Good Morning,
Well Today is the day.. Time to announce that Nellie's Country Flair is having their first ever internet contest.... The rules are simple..submit your name on line, make a wall hanging (no bigger than 50inches by 60inches finished size) of your choice (just the top) take a photo and submit it then we will have the shop customers judge them for the winner.. The winner will then get me the top and the binding and we will provide the wadding and backing and quilting and then hang it in the shop to display and when done it will be returned.. the winner will also get a prize gift from the shop. The contest will start now and end Sept1st that should give everyone time to get their idea done and the photo emailed and the winner will be announced on the 10th of September. thats it so simple..I cant wait to see all of the projects.

Help us help JRV
Nellie's Country Flair is now taking donations for Jemalong Retirement Village.... The village is now starting to get ready for the annual fete in October and could use a few things..as many of you know these ladies raise money every year through this event to keep the craft programs going.. Nellie's has donated several items to the group and is now wanting to give everyone else a chance to help so we are collecting patchwork fabric, crochet cotton, knitting wool, hand stitching items, etc., for the ladies to use. If you would like to assist but have need of everything in your stash, we will give you 20% off of your fabric purchase for JRV.
Anyone interested can bring your items by the shop and drop them off and they will be picked up by some one from the craft group.

Looks a little like work...
Well now that the new products have been put out and some cleaning has been done it is time to start working a great new craft decoration for the shop. I have found some ideas that seem to be rather fast, doesn't require sewing and looks great on a wall, so.. of course I have to try it. The 3 new fabrics from the "Boho Girls" range came in (minus 1 bolt of course) so I have decided to use that fabric in this new project... It may take a few days to complete but I will take post the results as soon as I am done with it. The photos are of the new fabric, I am using the Strawberry coloured ones (the blue wavy isn't in yet).
